using a ti 89 for doing square roots is my biggest problem. Can some one help me understand it? I am a beginner at it. What book or other resource do you suggest for beginning this subject?

What precisely are your difficulties with using a ti 89 for doing square roots? Can you give some more details. I remember that some time ago I too had to go through a similar time of apprehension. In my case, my worried search led me to a coach in my neighborhood. But he was so tied up that he just did not have the time for me. Algebrator is the program that I have used through several math classes - Intermediate algebra, College Algebra and Intermediate algebra. It is a really a great piece of algebra software. I remember of going through difficulties with dividing fractions, trigonometry and function definition.
