Hi, I am a senior in high school and need major help in square root methods. My math grades are poor and I have decided to do something about it. I am looking for a software that will allow me to enter a problem and provides detailed step by step solution; basically it must walk me through the entire thing. I really hope to improve my grades so please help me out.

I must agree that Algebrator is a great thing and the best software of this kind you can get. I was amazed when after weeks of frustration I simply typed in factoring and that was the end of my problems with math. It's also great that you can use the software for any level: I have been using it for several years now, I used it in Intermediate algebra and in Algebra 1 also! Just try it and see it for yourself!

I remember having difficulties with side-side-side similarity, quadratic formula and linear inequalities. Algebrator is a truly great piece of algebra software. I have used it through several math classes - Remedial Algebra, Pre Algebra and Algebra 1. I would simply type in the problem from a workbook and by clicking on Solve, step by step solution would appear. The program is highly recommended.
