simplifying complex rational expressions

Hi! Our class just started tackling a new chapter in math about simplifying complex rational expressions and I did pretty good for most homeworks we had but the latest one my professor gave really hard so I'd love if someone would assist me to understand it! It’s a problem solving assignment my math professor gave out this day and it’s due next week and I tried solving it but to no avail. I can’t answer it easily unlike the other assignments. I had no trouble doing my past assignments but this particular assignment with specific topic of syntehtic division gives me difficulty just figuring out how to start. I’m desperately in need of help. I’ll really appreciate if someone help me in explaining the steps and how to solve it in a systematic and clear way.

I’m know little in simplifying complex rational expressions. But, it’s quite hard to explain it. I may help you answer it but since the solution is complex, I doubt you will really understand the whole process of solving it so it’s recommended that you really have to ask someone to explain it to you in person to make the explaining clearer. Good thing is that there’s this software that can help you with your problems. It’s called Algebrator and it’s an amazing piece of program because it does not only show the answer but it also shows the process of solving it. How cool is that?

I have used a number of programs to grapple with my difficulties with lcf, like denominators and inverse matrices. Of them, my experience with Algebrator has been the best. All I had to do was to simply key in the problem. Punch the solve key. The reply came into view almost at once with an easy to comprehend steps indicating how to arrive at the answer. It was just too simple. Since then I have relied on this Algebrator for my problems with Basic Math, Remedial Algebra and College Algebra. I would very much suggest you to try out Algebrator.

Hello Guys, Based on your comments, I bought the Algebrator to get myself equipped with the basics of Intermediate algebra. The explanations on factoring and complex fractions were not only understandable but made the whole topic pretty interesting. Thanks a lot for all of you who directed me to check Algebrator!

Algebrator is the program that I have used through several math classes - Algebra 2, Pre Algebra and Remedial Algebra. It is a truly a great piece of math software. I remember of going through problems with matrices, complex fractions and adding numerators. I would simply type in a problem from the workbook, click on Solve – and step by step solution to my algebra homework. I highly recommend the program.
